Custom Designed Products
Electrochemical Devices, Inc. works with design and corrosion engineers to produce reference electrodes for those applications where our standard models may require modification. Customization can be as simple as a minor change in dimensions, or it may be more complex such as a complete re-design of the housing. If it is simple, it is only necessary to consult with us before ordering to ensure the change does not affect the functionality of the product. When the design requires major modifications, we will prepare a drawing of the proposed product for engineering approval. At that time the custom product is assigned a unique model number, CX, followed by a two digit sequence number to simplify re-ordering in the future. We do not charge design fees for this service, and in most cases the custom product is priced comparably to a similar standard product. For all custom designed products we use the same full featured electrodes used in our standard products. Listed below are some of the custom concrete products we have designed. To see drawings of these products, download the Custom Products datasheet.
| CX01 & CX02 |
Model CX01 and CX02 were extended life versions of Model CB. They have been replaced by Model CX09. |
| CX03 | Model CX03 is a single wire version of Model CB. It has been re-designated as Model CB-AGG-SW. |
| CX04 | Model CX04 is a through-wall steel probe. |
| CX05 | Model CX05 is a proprietary private label product. |
| CX06 | Model CX06 is a portable reference electrode with an integral guard ring. This product is used to make polarization resistance measurements on embedded rebars. |
| CX07 | Model CX07 is a shortened version of the Model CB. It is 2 inches (5 cm) diameter by 3 inches (7 ½ cm) long. |
| CX08 | Model CX08 is a rebar probe fitted to a small rebar cage so it can be installed by welding the assembly to the rebar net. It is used in conjunction with a Model CB reference electrode for polarization resistance measurements of corrosion rate. |
| CX09 | Model CX09 is a variant of Model CB in which the gel chamber has been enlarged to extend the design life to 50 years. |
| CX10 | Model CX10 is a reference electrode designed for use in seawalls and other marine concrete applications. It has been re-designated as Model CM. |
| CX11 | Model CX11 is a MMO probe encased in a Portland cement grout. |
| CX12 | Model CX12 is a steel coupon encased in a Portland cement grout. |
